The play resulted in the longest touchdown run by a former Alabama player during the postseason. Williams’ touchdown run beat Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry’s 35-yard score run on January 6, 2018, during a 22-21 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC playoffs’ first round.

In NFL postseason games, only two wide receivers have scored longer touchdowns. On January 16, 1983, James Lofton ran 71 yards in the Green Bay Packers’ 37-26 divisional-round defeat to the Dallas Cowboys, and on January 19, 2002, Ahmad Merritt ran 47 yards in the Chicago Bears’ 33-19 divisional-round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
On a play like to this one, Williams scored his final touchdown of the 2023 regular season, going 19 yards, in a 33-28 victory on December 3 over the New Orleans Saints.
