Near a lake here, the wife of an Indian Microsoft employee who vanished in the US has been discovered dead under suspicious circumstances.

On February 25, Soujanya Ramamurthy, 30, who was married to a Microsoft software developer and resided in Redmond, vanished from her presence.

The next day, following a thorough police search, her body was discovered in Lake Sammamish.

She was last observed in Redmond, about eight miles outside Seattle, close to the Park Marymoor Bell Apartments.

There have been no arrests thus yet, and police are still investigating how the incident happened.

But according to a number of media stories, Soujanya was struck in the head several times with something akin to a hammer.

Soujanya went missing with burgundy outerwear on, dark eyes, black hair, and a height of 5 feet 4 inches and 94 pounds, according to the police.

She left India to pursue her studies in the US.

According to her spouse Mudambi S. Srivatsa, she aspired to provide the best for her family and had lofty goals.

According to the story, a search drive was started the day she vanished, and posters asking for help were shared on social media by Indian communities in the US.

To cover the expense of services to transfer her body to Mysuru for her last rites, a fundraising has been established.
