Eastern Conference leader Inter Miami FC was defeated 3-1 by Atlanta United

Atlanta United wins their first game in nine games after being winless in their previous nine. They defeated Inter Miami FC, the current leaders of the Eastern Conference, 3-1 to claim their 100th victory in club history.

At the press conference following the game, head coach Gonzalo Pineda stated, “For me, it was a major sign of excellent mentality for the club.” But it’s also a gift for the supporters. During the two minutes of stoppage time in the first half, Lobjanidze came dangerously close to extending the advantage for Atlanta. In the 89th minute, Ronald Hernandez replaced Thiago Almada as Atlanta’s last substitution of the evening. The 5-Stripes played a little keep-away to allow the time to pass after seven minutes of stoppage time was added.
