Florida’s Miami Gardens — On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins have an opportunity to defeat the Buffalo Bills and capture the AFC East for the first time in fifteen years. However, four days prior to the most important game of the season, the team’s top player is absent from home.

After leaving Wednesday’s Dolphins practice, star receiver Tyreek Hill saw flames coming from his South Florida house.

Hill’s family is secure, according to a Dolphins representative. Additionally, the Davie Fire Rescue Department stated in a Facebook post that no injuries had been recorded.

During the Dolphins’ major “Sunday Night Football” game against the Buffalo Bills, Hill was informed of the issue.

As fire rescue contained the situation, TV crews in South Florida photographed thick clouds of smoke shooting from the house’s two roof openings.

Arriving at the house shortly before 3 p.m., Hill saw his mother and wife, Keeta Vaccaro Hill, while sporting a walking boot on his left foot.

When the police arrived at the house, they had conversations with Hill and his family. Hill and his relatives strolled from the driveway onto the street to see the situation.

Hill’s family members were inside the house when the fire started, but they were able to leave safely, according to Robert Taylor, the fire marshal for Davie Fire Rescue, who spoke with USA TODAY Sports. The number of family members in attendance is unknown.

According to Taylor, there was significant fire damage in Hill’s home’s attic.

Drew Rosenhaus, Hill’s agent, told reporters gathering near the house early on Wednesday evening, “It’s very difficult for anybody obviously to have your home catch on fire, but Tyreek and his family were handling it with as much poise as you could hope.”He expressed his sincere gratitude to all those who helped preserve his house, including the firefighters. He will not comment at this time.

About 20 units from Davie incident Rescue, Southwest Ranches Fire-Rescue Department, and Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue arrived to the scene due to the magnitude of the incident.

Authorities remained at the scene late on Wednesday afternoon to make sure hot spots were completely extinguished so Davie Fire Rescue could start its investigation. No one has been permitted back into the residence.

Following practice, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa commented, “I think the main thing is his family is safe, his loved ones are good, and he’s good as well.” I was unable to communicate with him. It wasn’t until after practice that I discovered it.”

With 1,717 yards and 12 touchdown catches for the Dolphins, Hill is the top receiver in the NFL. In March 2022, he inked a $120 million, four-year contract with the Dolphins.

According to property records, Hill paid $6.9 million for the 9,300-square-foot residence. In addition to a full-sized basketball court, a home theatre, a large pool, and two guest homes, the property has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
