The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office reported that actor Nick Pasqual was charged after being apprehended while trying to enter Mexico following the vicious stabbing of Allie Shehorn.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced on May 29 that actor Nick Pasqual, the makeup artist’s estranged boyfriend, was charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent.
According to the press release, Pasqual may get the maximum punishment of life in state prison if found guilty.

Although Shehorn isn’t named as Pasqual’s victim in the release, it does mention that on May 23 at 4:30 a.m., which is also the day Shehorn attacked, according to Shehorn’s friends, Pasqual broke into his estranged girlfriend’s Los Angeles home and repeatedly stabbed her.
According to the announcement, Pasqual then reportedly ran from the scene and was taken into custody at a border crossing in Texas between the United States and Mexico. He will be extradited to Los Angeles County, according to the statement.
The time and location of the alleged incident matched the information Shehorn’s friends gave KTLA about the attack, and police verified to E! News that Pasqual had been taken into custody.

The victim sought a restraining order against Pasqual a few days before to the incident, according to the District Attorney’s office announcement. Just a few days before Shehorn was attacked, on May 20, Shehorn requested a restraining order against Pasqual. E! News has received both the court order granting the request. She claimed in her restraining order that Pasqual had beaten her with a belt on January 29 and had sexually assaulted and strangled her on April 14.
After Shehorn was stabbed, her friend Jed Dornoff posted on Instagram, explaining that the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Department had found Shehorn’s suspected assailant near the border between Mexico and Texas. Jed Dornoff also launched a GoFundMe for Shehorn with Emily MacDonald.
A representative for Pasqual was contacted by E! News for comment, but they did not respond.
In the statement, District Attorney Gascón promised the victim something in addition to his best wishes.
He remarked, “My sincere sympathy and thoughts are with the victim in this awful event.” “She is receiving help and services from our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, as she sets out on the arduous path of recovering from the physical and psychological anguish that was perpetrated upon her. The horrific event serves as a sobering reminder of the perils associated with domestic abuse. We’ll make sure the person who committed this heinous atrocity is made to answer for their deeds.”
Shehorn was discovered on May 23 following around 20 stab wounds at her residence, according per her friends’ GoFundMe page. Christine White, who told KTLA that she was Shehorn’s surrogate mother, found her. She was taken to the hospital and has had three operations so far.
The 35-year-old’s pals have been keeping the public informed about her well-being since her attack.
Dornoff captioned an Instagram photo of Allison Shehorn on her feet in the hospital on May 29 with the words, “Allie Shehorn is making positive steps to her recovery.” “She is tackling it with strength and drive, but it’s still a very hard path.”
