Numerous well-known figures, such as politicians, monarchs, and well-known scientists, surfaced in a deluge of previously sealed court records pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein that were made public late on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
A wealth of documents submitted in Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 defamation lawsuit against the deceased sex offender’s “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell including mentions of prominent individuals such as Stephen Hawking, Prince Andrew, and former President Bill Clinton.
The long list of names in boldface provides an unsettling glimpse into Epstein’s other life as a master financier who exploited his resources and contacts to defraud numerous young ladies.
Between January 3 and January 9, 215 recently disclosed papers totaling approximately 5,000 pages were made public. These records named over 170 individuals connected to Epstein, including both victims and former workers.
Although they had been severely censored, several case documents had previously been released.
Internet detectives made assumptions about the identity of the person before the document dump. For example, Jimmy Kimmel, the late-night entertainer, was obliged to defend himself against trolls in the hours leading up to the official release, even though he was not mentioned in the papers.
The stars who made an appearance in the recently disclosed documents are listed below:
Andrew Prince
Apart from Giuffre’s accusations that she was coerced into having sex with Prince Andrew while she was a minor, the records include other charges against the disgraced British royal, such as his purported involvement in a “underage orgy.”
According to a 2014 court document, one lady, known as “Jane Doe 3,” stated she was “forced to have sexual relations with this Prince when she was a minor in three separate geographical locations.”
These included an undisclosed location in New York, Ghislaine Maxwell’s flat in London, and ‘on Epstein’s own island in the US Virgin Islands (in an orgy with multiple other underaged females).’
Epstein allegedly instructed the “sex-slave” to “give the Prince whatever he demanded,” according to the affidavit.
In her own deposition, Johanna Sjoberg, one of the other accusers against Epstein, stated that Prince Andrew stroked her breast during their 2001 picture shoot on a couch at Epstein’s Manhattan residence.
Sjoberg stated that the prince also touched Giuffre’s breast with a puppet that resembled him in the same picture.
According to the records, Epstein’s former butler, Juan Alessi, stated that Andrew “spent weeks” at his boss’ Palm Beach, Florida, estate and was given “daily” massages.
Following the disclosure of the records, Prince Andrew was denounced to the Metropolitan Police in London by Republic, an anti-monarchy organisation, which also sought a fresh inquiry.
The royal family shouldn’t be above the law, to put it simply. Any allegations of criminal activity should always be properly looked into. Consequently, the gang wrote on X, “THE MET MUST ACT.” The request remains unanswered by the Met.
Every accusation made against Prince Andrew has been consistently refuted by both Buckingham Palace and the prince.
Hillary and Bill Clinton
The Independent pointed out that although former president Bill Clinton’s name appears 73 times in the recently revealed documents, he is not connected to any criminal activity.
Sjoberg mentioned in her 2016 testimony that Epstein had informed her that Clinton “‘likes them young,’ referring to girls.”
Clinton, who made several trips on Epstein’s own aircraft, has denied knowing anything about the atrocities committed by the creep.
The former president allegedly went into the Vanity Fair office and “threatened” staff members not to print reports regarding sex-trafficking charges against “his good friend” Jeffrey Epstein, according to records that were released Thursday night.
Virginia Giuffre, an Epstein accuser, brought up the accusation in an email discussion with Daily Mail journalist Sharon Churcher in 2011.
The claim made by Giuffre that Maxwell informed her that she had escorted the former president to Epstein’s private island in a helicopter is the subject of many allusions to Clinton in the document dump.
Giuffre told Churcher the narrative, and Churcher mistakenly claimed that Giuffre was also aboard the purported flight, Giuffre clarified in a deposition from May 2016 that was made public on Friday.
It was, in my opinion, taken out of context. Bill Clinton was flown in, Ghislaine told me. Regarding Churcher’s account of events, Giuffre remarked, “And Ghislaine likes to talk a lot of stuff that sounds fantastical.”
Although Maxwell acknowledged that she had travelled on Epstein’s aircraft with Clinton, she rejected the account in her deposition, calling it “another one of Virginia’s falsehoods.”
A flight log for Epstein’s aircraft, which includes Clinton, is shown to Maxwell later in the deposition.
A court decision made public on Friday showed that in June 2016, Southern District of New York Judge Robert Sweet rejected Giuffre’s attorneys’ bid to have Clinton deposed in her lawsuit against Maxwell, stating that they had not proven the “relevance” of the former president’s evidence.
Attorney communication revealed that Maxwell’s team was requested to search Clinton’s emails and other files for the name and initials of both herself and her husband, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The last names “Clinton,” “BC,” “HC,” and “HRC” were all included on the list.
As part of the discovery process, Giuffre’s legal team also sought any correspondence between or connected to Maxwell, Bill, and Hillary, according to the Friday document dump.
Donald Trump
Former President Donald Trump appeared at least four times in the unsealed documents.
In Sjoberg’s deposition, she described how Epstein once “called up” the real estate mogul and suggested visiting one of his casinos when Epstein’s private jet was diverted from New York City to Atlantic City, New Jersey.
“Jeffrey said, ‘Great, we’ll call up Trump and we’ll go to’ — I don’t recall the name of the casino, but — ‘we’ll go to the casino,’” Sjoberg testified.
Sjoberg later added that she never massaged Trump.
In her own deposition, Giuffre said she was lured into working as a masseuse for Epstein when she was 17 and working as a spa attendant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
What is known about the 170 acquaintances on Jeffrey Epstein’s list
- Documents detailing 170 acquaintances of alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein were made public on Wednesday. On the list were former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, magician David Copperfield, Michael Jackson, Stephen Hawking, and former President Bill Clinton, who one Epstein victim claimed “likes them young, referring to girls.”
- The records listed Epstein’s known buddy, the disgraced royal Prince Andrew, who had previously been sued by Virginia Giuffre, Epstein’s accuser, for allegedly having sexual relations with her. The Firm “will stand beside” the Duke of York “no matter what,” claims a royal family specialist.
- In defence of the late multimillionaire sex offender’s pals, Epstein’s friend and former lawyer Alan Dershowitz stated, “None of us knew about his private life that he kept so secret.” Dershowitz, who is on the list, continued by saying that no one should be presumed guilty in the court of public opinion based alone on their appearance in court records.
- The Post was informed by Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, that the former business tycoon claimed he had knowledge of enough information on Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to have been able to swing the 2016 election. This is an exact quote: “They would have to call off the election if I disclosed what I knew about both candidates. In 2016, Jeffrey informed me about this.
- Just a portion of the 170 names and their connections to Epstein have been made public. The remaining records will probably be made available to the public over the course of the upcoming week.
Alan Dershowitz
Claims in the documents state that when Jane Doe 3 was a “minor,” Epstein reportedly compelled her to “have sexual relations” with his lawyer, retired Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz. According to one document, the claimed occurrences happened “not only in Florida but… on private planes, in New York, New Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.” Dershowitz was apparently a “eye-witness to the sexual abuse of many other minors throughout these locations.”
Sharon Churcher seems to remind Giuffre of Dershowitz’s membership in Epstein’s inner circle in a recently released email from 2011.
“Remember Alan Dershowitz… Churcher commented, “JE’s buddy and lawyer -good name for your pitch,” mentioning Dershowitz’s connections to Claud von Bülow, who was eventually cleared of any involvement in Sunny’s attempted murder.
Churcher said, “We all think Alan is a pedo, and even though there’s no proof, you probably met him when he was hanging put [sic] w JE.”
December 2014, three years later, Giuffre accused Dershowitz of sexually assaulting her when she was living with Epstein. She then withdrew her accusations, stating, “I now realise I may have identified Mr. Dershowitz incorrectly.”
Giuffre claimed that Sjoberg had intercourse with Dershowitz in the back of a limousine while Giuffre and Epstein were there, however Sjoberg refuted this in her deposition from May 2016.
According to the transcript made public on Friday, Sjoberg emphasised, “I would remember that [if it happened]”.
The 85-year-old Dershowitz has refuted every accusation of misconduct. Earlier this week, he supported Epstein and his other colleagues.
He said, “You could condemn them for having poor judgement, but you can’t determine that any charges against them are true without seeing the evidence.”
He also gave The Post an explanation of the significance of the case’s litigation.
Stephen Hawking
According to an unsealed email between Stephen Hawking and Maxwell, Epstein offered a payment to Giuffre’s colleagues, acquaintances, and even family members if they could “help prove” that her claims that cosmologist and theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking took part in an orgy were untrue.
Giuffre’s most serious accusation, according to the January 2015 letter, “is the Clinton dinner, and the new version in the Virgin Islands that Stephen Hawking participated in an underage orgy.”
The Oscar-winning movie “The Theory of Everything” chronicled Hawking’s fight with early-onset ALS and his remarkable career. Hawking passed away in 2018 at the age of 76.Al Gore Giuffre was asked to submit pictures or recordings of herself with a number of well-known individuals, including former vice president Al Gore, by Maxwell’s counsel.
Al Gore
Giuffre was asked to submit pictures or recordings of herself with a number of well-known individuals, including former vice president Al Gore, by Maxwell’s counsel.
The unsealed document revealed that Giuffre’s team objected to the motion, claiming that Maxwell and Epstein had “custody and control” over the materials in question.
In her testimony, Sjoberg also denied ever having met Gore.
Tipper Gore
Giuffre’s deposition in a since-dropped lawsuit against Dershowitz, which was included in the trove of records made public in her 2015 defamation action against Maxwell, claims that Tipper, the wife of Al Gore, was also spotted on Epstein’s private island.
The complainant claimed to have only observed the Gores conversing with one another at a meal.
Both have never discussed their supposed ties with Epstein in public.
Sarah Ferguson
In a 2009 deposition, Juan Alessi—the housekeeper at Epstein’s Florida estate from 1991 to 2002—named Sarah Ferguson.
The records claim that her ex-husband Prince Andrew “spent weeks” receiving “daily massages” at the opulent retreat, but Alessi said he thinks the Duchess of York only paid a single, “brief” visit.
Leslie Wexner
In her deposition, Maxwell refuted providing a sexually suggestive attire to a lady for Epstein’s former business partner and financial advisor, Leslie Wexner.
Maxwell said that she had not discussed Giuffre’s case with the millionaire creator of L Brands, who has links to Epstein that go back to the 1980s.
Wexner’s wife, Abigail, was name-checked on what looked to be a notebook or list from Epstein’s Palm Beach house in the third batch of papers made public on Friday.
The handwritten message said that Abigail Wexner wanted to chat about something “private.”
It was also disclosed in newly released transcripts of Maxwell’s testimony on Friday that the British socialite attested to her acquaintanceship with Epstein.
Nonetheless, she denied knowing if Maria Farmer, the person who accused Epstein, had ever visited Wexner’s Ohio estate.
Sjoberg refuted in her own statement that she had met the Victoria’s Secret magnate.
According to Wexner, he “was never aware of illegal activity” that Epstein was allegedly involved in.
Chelsea Clinton
According to a mountain of court records released on Friday, Maxwell chose to attend the wedding of her former first daughter Chelsea Clinton rather than provide a deposition in a civil suit brought against her ailing lover.
In 2009, the socialite was subpoenaed for Guiffre’s lawsuit, and her attorneys originally consented to her being deposed, as stated in the 2016 request.
According to the complaint, “at the last minute, Maxwell’s attorney notified plaintiff’s counsel that Maxwell’s mother was very ill and that as a result, Maxwell was leaving the country with no plans to return.”
In view of the above facts, her deposition was cancelled.
But during the extravagant ceremony, the now-convicted sex trafficker was seen in photos watching from the 400-person audience as former President Bill Clinton escorted his daughter down the aisle.
According to the lawsuit, Maxwell was captured on camera at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in Rhinebeck, New York, “confirming the suspicion that she was indeed still in the country and willing to say anything to avoid her deposition.”
The allegations were made in a 2016 motion requesting the denial of Maxwell’s request to have her financial assets hidden. The argument was that the money demonstrated her close connection to Epstein’s sex-trafficking business.
Bill Richardson
According to the records, Giuffre stated that Maxwell had dispatched her to have sex with the late Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson.
Additionally, Sjoberg remembered learning that the Democrat was a member of Epstein’s inner circle.
“I would like to mention that while we were in New Mexico, he was scheduled to join us for supper. I’m not sure whether we ever met. In her deposition, she stated, “I think he and Ghislaine had dinner apart from myself.”
Richardson, at 75, passed away in September.
Jean-Luc Brunel
Giuffre testified in 2016 that one of the men Maxwell had forced her to have sex with was Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modelling scout and close friend of Epstein.
Although Sjoberg stated in her testimony that she did not have sex with Brunel, she did remember meeting him at Epstein’s Palm Beach home.
In December 2020, while incarcerated in Paris on suspicion of raping minor girls, Brunel committed suicide.
Minsky Marvin
Giuffre said in her 2016 deposition that Maxwell gave her the order to have sex with AI pioneer and computer scientist Marvin Minsky.
According to Nature magazine, Minsky was awarded a $100,000 grant by Epstein in 2002. Minsky passed away in 2016 at the age of 88.
Michael Jackson
Sjoberg said that they had met at Epstein’s Palm Beach residence, the pop icon Michael Jackson.
She denied ever giving Jackson a massage; the 50-year-old passed away in 2009.
David Copperfield
Sjoberg recounted a meal at one of Epstein’s residences when magician David Copperfield performed feats.
She continued, saying that the illusionist did not say exactly what he meant when he asked whether she knew that females were being paid to find other girls.
Tom Pitzker
Giuffre stated in her 2016 deposition that she had slept with Tom Pritzker, the heir to the Hyatt hotel group, “once.”
Pritzker, whose estimated net worth is $6.2 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, “continues to vehemently deny” the accusation, according to a representative for the billionaire.
After Giuffre finished her “training” as part of Epstein’s entourage, Maxwell “sent out” her to give the billionaire hedge fund manager an erotic massage, Giuffre said.
Regarding her interaction with the investor, Giuffre remarked, “Ghislaine told me to go to Glenn Dubin and give him a massage, which means sex.”
Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, the wife of Dubin and a former Miss Sweden, dated Epstein for a number of years.
Files made public on Friday reveal that Maxwell stated in court that she and Andersson-Dubin were friends in April 2016.
The Dubins’ butler, Ricardo Rizzo, also testified against Maxwell, recalling an incident in which Maxwell is said to have taken a distressed fifteen-year-old girl to the Dubins’ home.
Sjoberg remembered massaging Dubin as well as Andersson-Dubin during her own deposition, but she claimed that “there was nothing sexual” about the interactions.
In a 2019 Vanity Fair piece, the pair refuted the accusations made against them by Giuffre.
A representative for the pair told The Post on Thursday, “The Dubins strongly deny these allegations, as we first said [in Vanity Fair] in 2019, when these unsubstantiated statements first surfaced as part of this same civil court proceeding.”
Frédéric Fékkai
In her evidence, Sjoberg stated that Epstein could have sourced women for French celebrity hairdresser Frédéric Fékkai.
“I overheard [Epstein] tell someone over the phone that Fekkai was in Hawaii. Can we locate some women for him? Sjoberg gave an explanation.
Barak Ehud
Sjoberg denied in her deposition that she had ever met former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak while working for Epstein.
The successful politician told the Wall Street Journal last spring that he socialised with Epstein when he was in New York, but he said that he had never seen the businessman “with girls or minors, or even adult women in inappropriate context or behavior.”
Chris Tucker
Chris Tucker, star of “Rush Hour,” made a reference to himself in one of Ghislaine Maxwell’s unsealed depositions on Friday.
Tucker, who is currently 52, was included when lawyers sent Maxwell a copy of the flight log from Epstein’s private aircraft.
Spacey Kevin
Sjoberg denied ever seeing actor Kevin Spacey, who was cleared in July of multiple charges including alleged molestation of younger males from 2001 to 2013.
The Friday document leak disclosed that during Maxwell’s deposition, lawyers read her a flight record that included the name of the “American Beauty” star.
George Lucas
The new records cited “Star Wars” creator George Lucas only once, during which Sjoberg denied having met the movie mogul in Epstein’s inner circle.
Naomi Campbell
Though she did not state the exact year, Giuffre testified in 2016 that Maxwell had sent her to have sex with “the owner of a large hotel chain in France around the time of Naomi Campbell’s birthday party.”
Images of Giuffre with Campbell aboard a French Riviera boat in 2001 have already surfaced.
In her own deposition, Sjoberg claimed not to have met the British supermodel.
In 2019, Campbell said that although she had occasionally gone out with Epstein, they were not close and that his behaviour was “indefensible.”
Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, Cate Blanchett, and Leonardo di Caprio
During her deposition, Sjoberg was questioned on tabloid claims that she had met Cate Blanchett and Leonardo DiCaprio among other Hollywood celebrities while working with Epstein.
She denied ever having met them, but said that while she was massaging Epstein, he had boasted to her about his celebrity connections.
“No, I didn’t meet them. I would talk to him about them when I was massaging him, and he would get off the phone. At one point, he would say something like, “Oh, that was Leonardo,” or “That was Cate Blanchett,” or “That was Bruce Willis.” In her deposition, Sjoberg stated, “That kind of thing.”
Sjoberg refuted a news rumour that said she spent time with Epstein meeting a number of Hollywood celebrities.
“No, I didn’t meet them. I would talk to him about them when I was massaging him, and he would get off the phone. At one point, he would say something like, “Oh, that was Leonardo,” or “That was Cate Blanchett,” or “That was Bruce Willis.” In her deposition, she elaborated on that sort of stuff.
Sjoberg said, “No,” when asked if she had ever met Cameron Diaz outside of Epstein’s group.
Ruslana Korshunova
Giuffre was questioned about her acquaintance with top model Ruslana Korshunova, who it turns out flew aboard Epstein’s notorious private plane in June 2006, two years before to her fatal leap in New York City.
Trip logs reveal that the alleged “Russian Rapunzel” was just eighteen when she took a trip with Epstein to his private island. She had issues that she “bottled up,” according to her ex-boyfriend, who saw her 2008 balcony jump from her Manhattan apartment.
Attorney Brad Edwards enquired via email in Thursday’s drop about Giuffre’s recognition of the model, who had been featured in Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and Vera Wang advertisements. Giuffre said, “I’m sorry I couldn’t be of any assistance there, but I can say that I have never had any meetings with her.”
Kenneth Starr
In October 2007, Epstein entered a plea of guilty to state charges of soliciting and procuring a child for prostitution, so avoiding a possible life sentence. Former US Solicitor General Kenneth Starr is acknowledged for his part in achieving Epstein’s non-prosecution deal.
In a June 2011 correspondence with literary agency Jarred Helperin regarding Virginia Giuffre’s book pitch, reporter Sharon Churcher stated, “[Epstein] got off the first time round after retaining Kenneth Starr (who witchhunted Bill Clinton) and Alan Dershowitz.”
Starr, who gained notoriety in the 1990s for leading the federal investigations into the Whitewater crisis and Clinton’s extramarital affair with Monica Lewinsky, passed away in 2022 at the age of 76.
Subsequently, the Justice Department concluded that in permitting the agreement with Epstein, then Labour Secretary Alex Acosta shown “poor judgement.”
“The Pope”
Johanna Sjoberg said there were pictures “everywhere” in Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion, including one of Maxwell with “the Pope,” when she was questioned about potential nude images.
Sjoberg could not say which Pope Maxwell was being photographed with or when the photo would have been made, although earlier witnesses claimed to have seen a picture of Epstein with Pope John Paul II at his Florida house.
