Award presentations are usually lavish events with elegant dresses, handsome tuxedos, and friendly banter as celebrities honour their colleagues’ accomplishments.

Heidi Klum and Tom Bergeron at the 2008 Emmys
At the 2008 Emmy Awards, supermodel Heidi Klum and former “Dancing with the Stars” presenter Tom Bergeron enjoyed a moment that resulted in a bruise for Klum.
Bergermon gripped Klum and sank her down to the ground during a skit. She fell to the ground with a loud crash as he dropped her.
It appeared to be hurting. She displayed a noticeable bruising on her hip by lifting her skirt and posing for pictures backstage. But there was no ill will between her and Bergeron. She flashed her wound while he assisted her.

Chris Rock and Will Smith to win Oscars in 2022
During his 2022 Oscars hosting gig, Chris Rock cracked a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. With a nod towards her severely cut hair, he replied, “I’m excited to watch “G.I. Jane 2,” pointing in her way.
After she rolled her eyes at the comment, Will Smith, her husband, started laughing but then got up, came onstage, and gave Rock a silent smack.
When he got back to his seat, Smith said, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f—-ing mouth.” Pinkett Smith reiterated his demand, despite Rock’s insistence that his remark about her was only a jest.
Even after receiving a smack, Rock maintained his composure, and Smith took up the best actor Oscar. Following the incident, Smith was barred from the event by the Academy for a decade.
Jo Koy, 2023 Golden Globes
At this year’s Golden Globes, comedian Jo Koy tried his hand at comedy, but a lot of his jokes fell flat. Koy started blaming authors for the poorly received content after a couple jokes went horribly wrong.
A joke regarding the wildly popular “Barbie” movie was one that fell flat. “Barbie is on a plastic doll with big boobies, and ‘Oppenheimer’ is based on a 721-page Pulitzer Prize-winning book about the Manhattan Project,” Koy said, contrasting the movie with the other great box office smash.
A number of spectators believed that this statement completely overlooked the feminist themes in “Barbie” and served as yet another illustration of the misogyny that the film protested.
Pop princess Taylor Swift responded fiercely as well.
“As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader,” Koy stated. What’s the main distinction between the NFL and the Golden Globes? We have less footage of Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes.”
With a deadpan remark and a sip from her drink, the singer made it obvious that she was not amused.
In a retrospective interview with “Good Morning America,” Koy acknowledged that he “fell a little short” in his act.
Kanye West and Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs
In 2009, Taylor Swift made headlines again during an awards ceremony when she accepted a prize at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Swift approached the stage and began her statement after taking home the best female video award. Everything was perfectly regular up until Kanye West and her joined her on stage.
“Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” West stated. “One of the best videos of all time.”
After a moment of stunned Beyoncé, the camera returned to West, who shrugged and gave Swift the microphone back. As the crowd exploded in jeers at West’s gesture, she appeared to be at a loss for what to do.
Swift was asked back onstage by Beyonce to complete her statement after she won the video of the year award later in the evening.
Jennifer Lawrence at the 2013 Oscars
2013’s Oscar for best actress went to Jennifer Lawrence for her work in “Silver Linings Playbook.” She seemed surprised to hear her name called, and she stumbled on the steps leading to the platform as she proceeded to pick up her medal.
She collapsed to her knees, taking a minute to compose herself before rising once again and finishing the voyage.
“You guys are just standing up ’cause you feel bad that I fell and that’s really embarrassing, but thank you,” she said as she entered the microphone and was met with a standing ovation.
2017 Oscars – “La La Land”
At the 2017 Oscars, Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty revealed the best picture winner, but there was a glitch. After declaring “La La Land” the victor, the actors and crew made their way onto the stage. After the prize was presented, producer Jordan Horowitz started speaking.
It was evident that something was wrong when the other producers spoke. There was a crew worker circulating the stage, striking up conversations with folks. At some point, someone went up to the mike and said, “We lost, by the way.”
The crew behind “Moonlight,” which had really taken home the best film prize, was promptly contacted. Later on, it was revealed that Beatty had unintentionally carried home the envelope containing the best actress award, which “La La Land” actress Emma Stone had just won. He admitted that he wasn’t entirely sure what had happened, but as he and Dunaway were attempting to figure it out, she saw the title of the film she had seen.
Adrian Brody and Halle Berry at the 2003 Oscars
When Halle Berry presented Adrian Brody as the winner of the Best Actor Oscar for his role in “The Pianist,” he responded in an unexpected way.
He put his arms around her and planted a passionate kiss on her as he walked up to claim the trophy. Berry was taken aback, and as she stepped away from the platform, she was spotted winking and wiping her lips.
Years later, Berry said during an interview on “Watch What Happens Live” that the moment wasn’t prearranged and that she was thinking, “What the f— is going on right now?”
2003 VMAS: Christina Aguilera, Madonna, and Britney Spears
At the 2003 MTV VMAs, pop sensations Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera performed “Like a Virgin” alongside Madonna.
Even though Madonna, who had already made a name for herself, was paired with two young vocalists in an intriguing concept, not many people discussed the musical performance. The “Vogue” singer’s kisses with each younger woman came to the forefront instead.
Notably, the camera paned to Justin Timberlane, who was visibly angry as he watched the presentation in the crowd.
Oscars 2014: John Travolta
When the 2014 Oscars arrived along, “Frozen” was the big thing. The show’s biggest hit, “Let It Go,” took home the best original song trophy. Idina Menzel, who provided the voice of Elsa in the cherished Disney picture, sang the song as one of the candidates during the event.
John Travolta was selected to introduce the show, which made sense given his background in film musicals, as he pointed out.
Instead of introducing Menzel, he encouraged the crowd to greet “the wickedly talented, one and only Adele Dazeem.”
Later on, Travolta revealed that the reason he was nervous at the time was a confusion regarding his performance time backstage. When he bumped into Goldie Hawn on his way to the stage to give the introduction, he described her as “sexy, charismatic, and beautiful” and was “starstruck.”
Subsequently, he was informed just before taking the stage that Menzel’s name had been altered to a phonetic spelling. This was unexpected and left him perplexed.
