In "White House Plumbers," two seasoned Americans who aspired to be president are told their tale. That phrase may be taken in a lot of different directions, but it definitely captures the strange legacy of veteran agent G. Gordon Liddy and his partner, Howard Hunt, who oversaw the disastrous espionage activities that resulted in the Watergate disaster. As co-creators Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck's silly but gentle miniseries portrays it, the two were hotshots who would essentially argue about who was the biggest patriot. Attorney General John Mitchell and Attorney John Dean, among their superiors, encouraged them to embed their allegiance to the nation and President Nixon into dubious and awkward work.
