Eagles address aging secondary, Bears move up after selecting quarterback at No. 1 in the 2024 NFL Mock Draft

It’s obvious that the Eagles need to add young players to their secondary. The defensive backs struggled to have an influence during Philadelphia’s dramatic turnaround from a 10-1 team to an away defeat in the opening round of the playoffs; in coverage, their value as tacklers was insignificant.

In this mock draft, Philadelphia selects an SEC cornerback who shows promise.

Just after Marvin Harrison Jr. signs a deal with the Cardinals, the Chargers choose Malik Nabers from the other team and conference. The LSU wide receiver, in my opinion, is just as talented as his Ohio State counterpart.

Finally, the identical Justin Fields trade from last week before I begin. I consider it to be ideal.

Bears receive a second-round selection at No. 43 overall, a third-round pick in 2025, and a fifth-round pick in 2025 (which may become a fourth if Fields plays 70% of the offensive snaps in 2024).
